Fickle is the toddler eater

Yesterday I gave Beanie a banana. When we first introduced solids she loved banana, but not so much lately. In fact, she has pretty much refused banana for the last few months. So much so that I just stopped buying them. I was making a lot of banana bread! Well, yesterday I just broke off a piece of my banana and she gobbled it up like it was the best thing ever. She kept signing "more" "more" "more" so Glenn ended up having a banana and giving her some too. So this morning I figured a banana would be the perfect compliment to her waffle and yogurt. She looked at me like I was crazy. She didn't want anything to do with it.

Sigh. I guess we'll try again tomorrow.

  1. Oh, I feel your pain. If I had a penny ... no, even HALF a penny ... for every time Jack flip-flopped on his food preferences, then we could afford any house we want. :) I'm glad i have some company!

  2. I could have written this myself, especially about bananas! Alex ate one a day for like two weeks, then suddenly lost interest. My husband tried to give him some the other day, and I sat there smirking, telling him "nope, he doesn't like banana anymore," and what did Alex do? "More, more..." He ate about a banana and a half! Does he only like them when they're on someone else's plate first? Naah, I think there's even less sense to it than that - so frustrating!!
