Mommy confession #1

I'm a homebody. The thought of having plans, playdates and etc every single day overwhelms me. I know its good for Beanie to get out and socialize, but, for the most part, I'm happier just sitting at home.

Okay, not really. I enjoy our playdates. I have met a lot of good people through them and recently some who I think will become/are good friends for us. But, looking at the calendar and seeing something written down for almost every day is a little much for me sometimes. Granted, when we actually get out and about I'm having a good time, but there are the days when I just long to curl up on the couch and do nothing.

  1. All I have to say is...how the heck do you sit down and relax with an active almost 2 year old at home??? Scotty rarely lets me sit for more than a minute before I have to jump up and run after him!

  2. Kristen, I am so with you on the homebody thingy. Abhinav does not let me sit (there are days I have gone 6-7 hours without sitting down for more than 2 minutes). I actually choose to go to 2-3 playdates a month. Your group sounds like you guys meet up really often. How does Beanie like it ?

  3. I would love to be a homebody too, but trying to keep Alex entertained has taken precedence for me - I find that we're BOTH happier these days if we can get out!! But I do miss the days of just lounging around with no one to think about besides myself!

  4. You guys are right! There is no opportunity for homebody-ness...just wishful thinking ;)

    See you tomorrow Sandy!!
